Cookie Policy

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, work in the same way. This policy explains how Global Counsel Forum uses them on globalcounselforum.com and our other sites, including the ticket site, the GCF app, Amicus, the partner portal, the gallery and the survey site. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. The cookies we use

Strictly necessary (always on). These make the sites work and keep them secure: remembering your cookie choices, keeping you signed in to the GCF app, Amicus and the partner portal, holding your place in a booking, and protecting sign-in from misuse. The GCF app and partner portal keep your sign-in on your device so you do not have to sign in each time; signing out removes it.

Analytics (only with your agreement). We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit, which pages they use and how they found us, so we can improve the sites. It sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_*, which last up to two years. We do not use analytics to identify you.

Embedded content. Some pages show videos, maps or social media posts from other services, such as YouTube, Google Maps or LinkedIn. Those services may set their own cookies, under their own policies, when you view or play the content.

We do not use cookies to show you advertising on other websites.

2. Your choices

When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Analytics only starts if you accept. Your choice is saved in a cookie called gcf_consent for six months and applies across all GCF websites.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the sites, such as signing in and booking, will not work.
